I have just got the samples from Phnom Penh. Whilst I had seen paper samples and such when there, I had not seen a completed hard back book. The quality is very pleasing, as is the attention to detail.

The book format is different (this is a ‘portrait’ sample, and mine is ‘landscape’) and it has twice as many pages – but the construction is similar.

Seeing the book jacket makes me think that could be a good idea – it is something I have vacillated on. Vicky and I will work up both options.

Nice quality embossed cover, which is what we had asked for.

Excellent printing, on good quality paper.

And, love this detail!

I have asked Bandol if she has slightly heavier paper for the pages, as I am a little concerned that the 120gsm quoted might be slightly ‘flimsy’ to carry the photographs at best quality. She quickly confirmed that IPML has up to 170gsm, so sounds like we can get that done.
