In preparation for the next Cambodia trip, taking Cemre’s advice, I’ll be looking at the implications of this project for our family.

As noted elsewhere, our first visit to the country was 1994, when Dan was just one year old, Vicky 4, Michala 6 and Mandy was 12.

We all visited Angkor Wat.

But I visited Tuol Sleng and Choeung Ek alone, not wanting to subject our kids to  the experience just yet. I have started the process of preparing source material for rephotography.

All photographs were originally taken with the Nikon F4s on Ektachrome.

And all are being scanned via the Epson V850 Pro, then printed from Lightroom.

I will be taking a selection of images with me, to explore changes and in particular the interaction with today’s Cambodian society.
